nice green ascalon now all red? - Guild Wars Forums

omfg wat is going on... first i jion the game im at a nice green place which there was a bug and u coudlnt go thru the gate so i logged out and back in.. .then was at sum totally different place also called ascalon city i think b4 it was just called ascalon~... i dunno whats going on i cant get back to the nice green place im stuck at an ugly red place.... i was told im at the new ascalon wth? plz msg me asap i dunno whats hapenin

Looks like a bug. Recreating your character should help.

It happened to me as well, there were multiple updates that you had to log in/out of the game to recieve, during all this at one of the logins you logged into searing ascalon, but logging off and recieving the next update fixed it.

also be aware that you'll only be in the nice ascalon for a while. I'm not going to ruin the story line for you, but eventually the red area is where you will be.

so just tell me this when will the game go into the ugly and crap ascalon? im currently lv 5 doing a first few quests and i have got my 2nd proff.

When you enter the Academy.

Afer you enter the Academy, there is no turning back, and you won't be able to finish your unfinished quests.

But do enter it some time, I'm sure you don't want to be in the tutorial for ever

no, all those quests are gone. It's not crap ascalon, that's where the game truly begins, but it is fairly ugly. (It's great artwork, but the area is destroyed) You shall understand once you enter the academy and finish that portion. You can't stay in old ascalon forever.
